How to Create Unique T-Shirt Designs Using Kittl AI

Kittl is a design platform that allows you to create simple or complex designs for personal or commercial use. It has online tools that you can use to create a variety of print-on-demand items such as t-shirts, labels, posters, business cards, logos etc. Plus, it has templates that you can use for inspiration, or you can use and edit them for your own designs. And today, you’ll learn how to create unique t-shirt designs using Kittl AI.

Step 1

Go to kittl.com

Step 2

Next, click sign up (which is free).

Step 3

Then, go to Templates.

Step 4

After that, click T-Shirts.

Step 5

Once you’ve done that, go to the Search and type Summer.

Step 6

Choose a template you might want to use.

Next, click on New Project on the top right. The Kittl Editor will open in a new tab.

For the artboard size, select Standard. Then, select Portrait style for Orientation.

In the bottom right, click on Layers and click the eye icon off to turn off the Background.

Click the star-looking icon on the left side to access Kittl’s AI.

Next, click in the prompt section and type “vintage surfboard on beach, vector t-shirt design, seagull in background, blue and yellow.” Then, click Generate Image.

Once the image is generated, go to the other tab with the template. Select the text and press CTRL + C to copy the text. Then, go back to the design and press CTRL + V to paste the text.

With the text selected, go to the Font Size and set it to 195.

Double-click on the first letter. Click Backspace. Then, type S. Now, double-click on the second letter, delete it, and type U. Do this for all of the letters and type SURF & CHILL.

After that, select all the text. Place the text above the surfboard and center it.

Next, select the text group. Go to Settings. Select the first color in the Group Colors. Then, grab the Color Picker and place it over the waves in the white-ish section to select this color.

Now, select the first color in the Group Colors. Go to the Hex section and copy it. Then, select the second color in the group. Now, go to its Hex section and paste the code here.

After that, select the darker orange color in the Group Colors. Go to the Hex code and paste the code here.

Once you’ve done that, select the light orange color in the Group Colors. Grab the Color Picker and select the area in the border section of the design.

Next, select the dark brown color in the Group Colors. Then, grab the Color Picker and select the darkish blue area in the palm tree or the darkish blue area of the beach.

Next, go to the left side of the screen and click Textures. Now, go to the Grunge Texture and select the first one.

With the texture layer selected, go to Settings at the top on the right. Set the Opacity to 30 and the Blend Mode to Multiply.

Select the third T-shirt mockup (the one with the man wearing shades).

Next, place the design on the front of the shirt and resize it to make it bigger.

Once you’ve done that, click Download Mockup. It’ll save the mockup to your computer.

To remove Kittl’s watermark from the image, open the image in Affinity Photo.

In Affinity Photo, grab the Inpainting Tool from the Tools Panel. Zoom in on the image. Now, take the tool and go over the watermark to remove it.
